The towns of Petries & Agioi Apostoloi are located on the eastern coast of Evia, and is 64km away from the capital town of Chalkida.
It is a very peaceful and relaxing town and one where you can enjoy the traditional apperance combined with all of the modern day facilities that travellers have come to expect.
You can find a selection of local tavernas where you can enjoy a home made meal including a choice of some local cuisine and traditional recipes, many of which are prepared with local meat and fresh produce. At a number of the tavernas you can find a great choice of fresh fish. You can also sample the local wines that are on offer.
Petries is a wonderful place to be based when you visit Evia, and from here you can easily venture out and explore a number of the surrounding villages and towns.
The coastal town of Agioi Apostoloi is located just 3.5km away and this is a lovely fishing village that is a great place to relax and soak up the authentic atmosphere. The beach of Agioi Apostoloi is very popular and attracts visitors from all over the island during the summer. In the resort you will find a number of cafes and places to eat.
There are also a number of other beaches nearby that you can visit such as Klimaki, Lianni Ammos, Cheromylos, Stomio, Mageiras and Kakolimano. All beaches have crystal clear waters, soft sand and thin pebbles.
